We went to Heritage Park in Alberta. It's an amazing park that is designed like an old town--one of my favorite places to go! Wish I could post all of the photos here for you, but if I did, this post would go on forever. Instead I'll post a few of my favorite ones!
The town is bustling with people in costume and character.
This is one of the big houses. Of course I loved it inside and out!
Ladies having tea in one of the houses.
A woman in the kitchen.
This was the most breathtaking part of the day. It started to pour outside and we rushed in to keep dry from the rain. While we waited a woman sat at the piano singing "Amazing Grace."
I would love this livingroom.
It rained about 20 minutes and then the sun returned again. I might be getting old, but I could never outgrow this room.
This was the doctors house. Apparently operations were done on the dining room table.
Woman playing hymns in a church.
A teacher in the schoolhouse talking to the substitute
Teacher explaining the leather strap to Nathaniel. We LOL'd over that one!
Here is Nathaniel, Graham and Maddy with the conductor of the old train.
We got to go on a train ride. Hi Graham!!
Maddy waiting for the train to leave the station
The boys were excited.
Michael teaching Graham to use his big camera
The candy store was amazing! Four long counters of candy to buy. I like butterscotch flavored sticks.
Nathaniel is fascinated by rocks. He picked up a bag of stones from the mercantile and some fool's gold at another store.
Stopping for a lunch at the vintage-style hotel restaurant
Michael and I at lunch. Madison took this photo. She also took the last one of the horse drawn carriage. She's quite the budding photographer.
Loved this table and couldn't wait to show you!
There is a place below for flour on one side and sugar on the other.
The top opens to store pies or bread.

The beauty of eggs. What a variety.
Madison loves horses
And they love her.
Hope you enjoyed our vacation pics, and I just might have a few more!
You are loved by an almighty God,
Darlene
